Rules Of the Pool, Notes & Scoring
A one time drawing will acure before the first game of the tournement.
Each pick will cost only 1 jelly bean.
The winner AGAINST THE POINT SPREAD of each game advances.
Here's an example. Let's say tonights game has the number 1 seed
playing the 16th seed. The Star & News (which will be the offical
spread for this pool) has the number 1 seed winning by 12 points.
If the number 1 seed wins by a 12 point margin or better.. the person
who picked that team advances. The person who picked the 16th seed
loses. If, however, the 16th seed team beats THE SPREAD by making
the final score margin less than 12 points, the owner of the 16th seed
now takes ownership of the 1 seed ticket. If the 16th seed team were to
beat the number one seed in this example then the owner would of course
keep that ticket.
Don't let all this confuse you. Our crack staff will make sure
that it all goes down the way it should. You don't really have to do anything
but root for your teams.
Every pick has the same probability for winning. Winner take
all Jelly beans collected.
Any teams not picked will be donated to the house.
Lets say the "Pot" is 100 jellybeans. I won the bid for the Hoosier
with 8 jellybeans. They win their game and advance to the next round.
The other 7 winners and I, get 2.5 jelly beans. the Hoosies win their
next game sothe other 3 winners and I get 10 jellybeans. Of course
the Hoosier win so I'd get the rest.. 40 jellybeans. 52.5 jelly beans for
only 8!!! A bargin at any price!
